HOW TO 'FOLLOW YOUR PASSION'

I've worked with youth for many years, usually in after school settings.  Eventually, the question comes up about what to do for a career, one's life, tomorrow even.  But, whether its youth or adults that this subject comes up from among, the look in the questioner's eyes is always the same; one of openness and sincere desire for change.
I can truly relate to this.  Many times I have and continue to ask myself this question.  How do I follow my passion?  The answer is invariably the same; just do it.  But, how?
More questions come up -- Does following my passion mean that I will be broke for the rest of my life?  I mean, what about paying bills, what about feeding my children, myself or having extra money when needed or wanted?  These are real issues to address.  The problem is that these questions are generally viewed in a vacuum as if one is somehow exclusive for the others.  In truth, everything, and I do mean everything, is connected in some way or another.
That being the case, understand this please.  There is always a way to earn money, pretty much regardless to where you live on the planet.  Think about it.  People, live, eat, trade with one another and somehow manage to get by.  But, what we are talking about here is more than getting by. This is what jobs are for, they help us to get by, to pay for the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the home we are blessed to live in.  But, what's next.
The, 'what's next?' is what I see in the eyes of those who pose the question about following one's passion.  Here's an answer.
It makes sense to earn an income.  Income of some sort is required to live in this material world.  Once there is income and basic needs are met, then one can think about fulfillment; what makes the heart happy, content.  While an income is being earned, likewise, one's passion can be nurtured.  As you work, take some time; better yet, enjoy some time developing skill in your passion area.
Get really good at what it is that you love to do.  The better you get with your passionate skill, begin to share your talent with others.  As you do so, doors will open for you.   Your intuition will kick in and show you what to do next.  Step by step you will move with inspired action toward your desired fulfillment, and one day look up to find that your new income comes from your passion.
This is called conscious fulfillment.  To reach this point is a matter of intention. You will have already chosen to be happy and enjoy what you do for a living, with the understanding that what you do is not who you are.  You are vibrational energy in human form.  You are divine, regardless to your occupation or past life's circumstances.
In essence, to follow one's passion is to choose to live in a state of peace each and every moment.  And, yes, having at least the material basics that a job or self-employment provides is good to have in this material world.
So, joyfully go to work, earn an income and use it explore the possibilities of your passion area.  Remember, life is to be enjoyed. It is a journey, not just a destination.
You can experience your passion area right here, right now. Each time you think of it, feel it, see your self involved in it. Enjoy that process as you move into its manifestation, and life will always be Simply Fab.

Peace & Blessings,
